Hello my name is Victor Mashiri

With experience of 20years of working in the Healthcare sector, l started working for Ramsay Healthcare as a care assistant and 4 years later l became a senior care assistant where l was now working closely with the nurse in charge. This raised my awareness of improved client outcome and led to me becoming passionate about archiving goals for my patients. In order to further develop myself, l enrolled into NVQ Courses to gain more knowledge and in 2009 l enrolled for a three year learning disabilities Nursing Diploma which l completed in 2012. Two years later, l became a Senior Nurse in charge of a Team of 8 nurses and 38 carers. My role challenged me to focus on evidence based strategies to achieve the agreed patient outcomes and eventually this empowered me to lead junior staff and colleagues. Developing person centred Care plans, identifying risk and managing risk, seeking feedback and communicating both positive and negative feedback were some of the tasks I handled. A year after l became Team Manager, l attended in many management trainings which helped me to be a better leader with the knowledge to guide junior staff in order to lead safe, and patient focused unit.  In 2017 l left Ramsay and joined Elmside Residential care Home as a Team leader, my duties were to lead the team as the senior in charge, attend to MDT meetings and ward rounds, managing staff rosters, patients care by providing person centred care approach including referrals to Gp and external agencies and liaison with stakeholders. In December 2018, l joined Libury Hall Residential home as a Night team leader where l was running the Night Team and making sure the patients care was met at night including medication management, Updating Care plans and Risk assessments, staff allocation and monitoring patient welfare on duty.  In 2021, l Joined Myhomecare as the CQC Registered Manager. MyHomeCare is a Domiciliary Care provider. As the RM, my duties were to oversee all the day to day duties of the company including medication management, Risk management, Health and Safety, Care progress management, Patient intake and Exit/discharge, liaison with Stakeholders including Safeguarding teams, Local Authorities, District Nurses, Regulatory Boards, Clients, families or representatives. As the RM, I was was the Safeguarding Lead and played an active role in the up skilling of both new and current staff, intake assessments of new clients and audit processes and adherence to organisation Policy and Procedures and aligning with national and local Statutory Legislation. I also Worked alongside the service users, families, guardians d staff to completely ensure that change, growth and development were ever revolving. Seeking feedback, acknowledging feedback, processing feedback are the backbone of developing an efficient and reactive organisation. These strategies enabled me to lead an organisation that ensures the highest standards of care at all times through appropriate staff/skill selection, training, motivation, development, supervision, appraisals and staff recognition whilst setting and working within appropriate and realistic budgets.

Hello my name is Lassonia Miller

I am one of the managing directors at LVMs Services. With over a decade of experience in the care industry, I have acquired extensive knowledge through hands-on work and various roles such as training, coordination, compliance, and HR management.

These diverse positions have provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the care industry as I have also worked closely with a Registered Manager and deputised within his absents. Deputising have added immensely to my leadership style and quality which have enabled me to contribute to the smooth operations by actively listen to feedback, creating person-cantered care plans, and collaborating closely with case workers, social workers, friends, and families authorized to support in the required care for clients.

Throughout my career, I have recognized the significance of teamwork and self-discipline in achieving organizational targets and goals and  also  fostering an environment that encourages both our clients and staff to thrive, which creates a positive and productive atmosphere.

Drawing from my background in direct customer service, I understand the importance of maintaining an open-door policy to promote healthy relationships within the management team and the rest of the team. This approach ensures that our staff members are well-rounded, heard and maintain a healthy work-life balance, contributing to their mental and physical well-being.

Having witnessed both the positive and negative aspects of effective and ineffective care, I am confident in the offerings of LVM to the domiciliary care community. It is crucial to approach each encounter with love, kindness, and understanding, as only time can determine one's fate.
